全班齐唱Let's chant, 活跃课堂气氛，通过chant中的主人公The puppet is playing the drum.引入课堂情境。教师教授U的发音规则。并通过The puppet has a drum and a....
出示吉它和小提琴的图片，教授这两个新单词。
T：Good news! The puppy and the puppet are preparing for an English party for us. Do you want to come?
1.翻译节目单，进入情境。
出示动态的中文节目单，让学生们根据给出的示例来翻译其他的节目。
T：Look！Here’s a Chinese list. Can you translate it into English? For example, “打鼓", you can translate it into “play the drum”.
从而学习并操练本课短语：sing a song, tell a story, play the guitar, play the violin.
2.老友来临，自选节目。
教师:Wow, it must be a big party.Look, Who’s coming? What’s Peter doing? Can you ask him?
从而引出目标句型What are you doing, Peter? I’m telling a story. 教师通过师问生答，生生问答让学生两人一组操练目标句型。
T：So Peter has his own program.Now it’s your turn. Take out your list and choose one program and act in pairs. Let’s begin!
两人一组根据节目单和目标语言来选择自己的节目并进行表演问答。
3.Li Yan到访，转换人称。
