T: You are right! Let’s listen to a story about little Lincoln.通过和教师的对话,使学生课前放松,增进和教师之间的情感。

通过听力录音的方式,让学生初步感知文本,锻炼学生的听力水平。同时让学生在学习过程中感触was和is 的区别。听力内容如下:Look at this poor boy. His name is Lincoln. His family was not rich. Every morning, he got up at five o’clock. He washed his face with cold water. He helped his father to cut some food. Then he helped his mother to cook the breakfast.

Every afternoon, he studied under a tree. He didn’t go to school. There was no school near his home. He didn’t have a teacher. In the evening, he went home for dinner.

让学生听完后,回答以下问题:

What is this story about? It is about Lincoln’s daily life.

在让学生读文之前给出三个问题:

1> What did Lincoln do in the morning?

2> What did Lincoln do in the afternoon?

3> What did he do in the evening?

3.让学生在回答问题过程中学习本课中出现的过去式的新词汇:

got up ; washed face; cut some wood; cooked breakfast; 等词汇。

并和学生讨论Why did he get up so early? 等问题引出学生对于poor的感知。

4.Let’s talk about little Lincoln’s daily life.

(让学生按照板书的提示完成对于林肯的日常生活的演说)

5. Let’s talk about lunches around the world.

T: Boys and girls. I have a question. Did Little Lincoln have lunch today?

Ss: Yes, he did. / No, he didn’t.

T: Maybe he didn’t have lunch. Because he was so poor.

引导学生说出:Lincoln could have…for lunch. Because he was poor.
