三 教学过程
课前导入(Warm up and lead in)
Warm up
教师在PPT上出示了一张图片,让学生说出能联想到的单词或句子。
T:Look, what’s this? What is it about? Can you say something about it?
学生说出一些单词clock,time, 或一些句子There are seven days in a week. There are twenty-four hours in a day. 等。也有一些学生说出本课的内容There are twelve months in a year.
Lead in
T: Usually, we use these words to talk about time. Today we will focus on month.
呈现新知(Presentation)
1)T: Today , we will talk about two months and two festivals. Let’s look.
播放课文视频动画,找出本课的两个月份和两个节日。
2) T: Listen and answer, how many months are there in a year? And Which month is the first month.
学生听课文第一段的录音,回答两个问题,也找出了需要操练的句子There are twelve months in a year. January is the first month. 从这一环节开始,对表达完整、准确的孩子开始给予小奖励,鼓励学生大胆的表达。
T: Why January is the first month?
教师进行知识补充,一月名称的由来。
3)T: Look at the first day of January. We call it January 1st. It is special. It is a festival. We call it …
学生在教师的引导下关注一月的第一天,即一月一日,元旦。先分别操练January 1st和New Year’s Day, 再连成句子January 1st is called New Year’s Day.
4)借由上个环节出现的New Year’s Day, 教师直接发问:
T: What do people do on New Year’s Day? Listen and find the answer.
S: People have a holiday and they celebrate New Year’s Day,
T : How do people celebrate New Year’s Day? Let’s look.
教师由课文延伸出另一个问题,通过看短视频了解世界上许多国家的人们都庆祝元旦,并引导学生简单描述人们如何庆祝。
5)T:In China, we celebrate New Year’s Day. But we also have another new year. We call it … 通过图片引导学生说出中国新年,即春节的名称。
6)T: New Year’s Day is in January. How about Spring Festival ? Is it in January, too?
