跨文化交际意识的培养，是英语教学的一个重要组成部分。词汇是文化信息的主要浓缩。本课中通过植树节，复活节的视频帮助学生有效了解中西方文化背景，培养学生跨文化交流意识，达成本课教学德育目标。
教材分析：
本课选自第四单元第四课时，为一节词汇句型课 。衔接第二课时的阅读课，以阅读课中出现的核心词汇月份March,April。节日Tree Planting Day， Spring Festival，句型March is the third month of the year. April is the fourth month of the year. 结合拓展内容Africa’s Great Green Wall中已学单词wall中字母组合“al”的发音呈现本课的chant。
学情分析：
六年级的学生已经具备一定的语言知识基础，具备一定知识的整合能力，但是水平参差不齐。思维活跃，喜欢在课堂上参与小组活动和竞赛，因此教师通过设计由易到难的活动，帮助学生突破重难点，通过创设情景，帮助学生理清思路、拓展思维，将新旧知识融合在一起。
