2. Be able to use functional statement to communicate in real context.

Teaching aids:

A tape-recorder, a video and some pictures.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1. lead-in(use a story)

T:first, I have a famous story called《The Ugly Duckling》. Look, She was an ugly duckling. Although she was not beautiful ,she tried her best to learn something and never gave up. So, let's have a look! What did she learn?(给出图片提示)

S1: She learned to swim.

S2: She learned to fly.

S3: She learned to lay eggs.

T: Good! At last, what happened? Can you guess?

S: She became a beautiful swam.

T:Yes! Her dream came true! Who can read this sentence for us?

T: How did she become a beautiful swan?Do you know?

S: By learning.

T: Good ! Learning made her perfect!

Step2. New Lesson

T: Learning also made you and me perfect.So everybody, it's time to talk about our English learning.Are you interested in English?

Ss: Yes! I am interested in English.

T: Oh!Good!I'm so happy! So let's say"We are very interested in English."(板书呈现、分组读)

T:You said you are very interested in English. So what can you do in English?

Ss: I can listen to English/speak English/say something in English/read English/write English/talk in English/play in English.(板书呈现)

T:Excellent! Anything else?

S:I can do role play/act in drama/help foreigners/play computer games/ sing English songs/watch English movies......

T:Wow!You said very well!Look at the blackboard.There are a lot of English words. So I think we have learned a lot of English words.(板书呈现、齐读、男女生读)

T:We have learned a lot of English words in our English lessons. What have you learned in other lessons?

S: We have learned......in our ……class.

Step 3. T: You are wonderful!You have learned so many things. But do you know these words?(PPT)

When you say a sentence that happens in the past,you can use them. Can you try to match these words?

spoke, wrote, read, said

T: Good! Read after me! I say "speak", you say"spoke".
