课前准备
准备Susan 家所在小区的教学光碟,以备新课和操练环节使用。
学生准备自己家所在小区的简图,为开展小组合作学习提供材料。
准备小区内设施图片,作为奖励表现出色同学的评价卡片。
每组准备一大张白纸,在设计理想中的小区时使用。
教学过程
Step 1.Warming up/Revision
(1)Guessing game: Where are they?
有两位同学到前面做无声表演,其他同学猜一猜他们在哪里。如一位同学扮演医生,一位同学扮演病人,医生正在为病人检查。猜出They are in a hospital.的同学为赢家,获得hospital评价卡一张,表演的同学同时也获得奖励。
(2) 介绍新朋友Susan ,引导学生进入情境
T: Look at our new friend Susan. She moved to her new home last Sunday. What’s near her home? Have a guess.
S: A park/ bank/library…
Sept2 Presentation
1)整体呈现文本,突破重点单词
教师利用本课光碟,整体呈现Susan居住的小区环境,并告诉同学This is a community.突破community一词。教师对小区进行整体介绍:
T:Look at the picture of Susan’s community. There are many buildings in it. There is a park near her home and there is a river behind the park. There are a lot of trees and flowers in the park. On the main street there is a bank. Beside the bank there is a hospital. Across the road ,there is a big supermarket between a hotel and a bookshop. Look! What’s at the centre of the community? There is a school! It’s a busy, clean and nice place.
2)回顾小区设施,突破重点句型。
教师帮助学生将小区内设施逐一回顾,并在黑板上用小图片摆出小区详图,同时突破重点句型There is/are… near/ behind/beside/across…, 帮助学生熟悉There be 句型和表达方位的介绍。
3)介绍设施用途,引发小组讨论
教师启发学生对陈设在黑板上的小区内设施的用途展开小组讨论,并发表意见:
T: There is a hospital, a bank, a school… in Susan’s community. Which one is the most important? Why?
S: I think the hospital is very important. We can see a doctor there.
S: I think the supermarket is very important. We can buy fruit and vegetables there.
…
教师在学生讨论的基础上做出总结:
T:They’re all very important. For example, we often buy fruit, vegetables and other food in the supermarket. …
