Step 1. Warming-up
Greetings
Guessing game:
教师做出“投篮”、“射门”的动作，引导学生猜出“playing basketball”和“playing football”。既对已学旧识进行了简单回顾，又为新课呈现环节做铺垫。
T：Do you like playing basketball? Do you like playing football?
Ss: Yes, I do.
T: Great! Today we are going to attend an International Games. Are you ready?
Ss: Go!
Step 2. Presentation and drill
（一）New words and sentences
Lead-in
T: First, let’s watch the parade. （教师播放运动员入场式视频，让学生初步感知新单词，并实现自主学习）。
学习China和句型
①（出示中国队入场图片）T: Where are they from? 引导学生自己说出China。教师板书China，学生书空。
② T: Where are you from?，引导学生说出“I’m from China.”（PPT呈现句型）,带读两遍。课件呈现“I come from China.”，引导学生初步了解和运用。
③ 拿出中国国旗，分组询问学生“Where are you from?”,让学生操练“I’m from China.”。学生作答后给予红旗奖励。
④ 欣赏中国名胜和传统文化，激发爱国情怀。
T: China is beautiful. Let’s say it proudly-- I’m from China!
Ss: I’m from China.
学习the UK
①（出示英国队入场图）T: Let’s welcome this team. Where are they from? 引导学生回答the UK。
② PPT呈现the United Kingdom和the UK，帮助学生理解the UK的缩写变化。
③ 拿出英国国旗，分组询问“Where’re you from?”，引导学生操练“I’m from the UK.”。在输出过程中，注意引导学生表达完整，当学生说出“I’m from UK.”时及时指正。
④ 学习了解英国文化。
学习the USA
教师用同样方法教授the USA，注意the UK和the USA的对比。
