六.Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

⒈ Greetings.

2.Sing a song.

Step 2 Leading-in.

This is a song about weather.

T: What’s the weather like today?

Ss: It’s...

T: Yeah. Tonight, Peter wants to go to Changsha by train. So, he must have a train ticket.( Then I show a ticket to students and teach the word “ticket”)

After that, I teach students new words one by one in different ways.( Some words, I teach students new words with actions. Let’s students pay attention to the pronunciation of new words. (单词教学,我把五个单词串成一个故事——今天是阴天,但是Peter今晚想去长沙,所以他必须有一张火车票,从而进行教学第一个单词“ticket”,再把票给一个男生,引出“his”这个单词,之后说Peter把票放进口袋里,用动作展示,引出“shirt pocket”。教完此单词之后,就说Peter 拿着票看了一下手表,感觉要迟到了,写出两个时间,引出单词“late”,之后就说Peter快迟到了就跑,用动作表示“hurry”.)

Look and say. Looking at cards to test students’ reactions about words.

Step 4 Eyes magic: What’s missing ?

First, let’s look back those pictures.

Second, eyes magic. Who can guess the picture with one word ? What’s missing ?

Step 5 Presentation and drill.

Well, this is a ticket. Peter wants to go to Changsha tonight. Look,( I put it into my sock ) :“Oh, where is the ticket ? Where is it ?”

Ss: Miss...,it’s in your sock?(指着告诉老师)

T: Oh, it’s in my sock. (I show socks to students and teach them the word——sock and socks.)

I give train tickets to several students.

T: Do you have a ticket ?

S1: Yes, I do.(板书句型,并反复操练此句型)

Step 6 Practice.

Look at one big picture. What can you see ?( train attendant列车员/Peter/Mingming) I write down names.

Where are they ?

Ok, open your books and turn to page 53. What happens to them? Please read part A and answer questions.(Turn to page 53)

What does train attendant say?

Where is Mingming’s ticket ?

Listen to part A twice. And read it sentence by sentence together.
