1.New words
(1)课件呈现姚明的图片,教学新单词:tall,板书,练读。
T:Look! Who is this?
Yes, he is Yao Ming.
What does he look like?
He is very tall.
Who is tall in our class?
引导学生寻找描述班上的高个子同学。
(2)课件呈现潘长江的图片,教学新单词:short,板书,练读。
引导学生用“…is tall.”,“…is short.”描述班上同学的身高情况。
(3)课件呈现“村长”和“喜羊羊”的图片,教学old和young,以及“He/She has a round face.”
T:Miss yang is old, and you are young. Yes or no?
And your grandpa is ,your mother is .
(4)课件先后呈现长头发和短头发女人,教学“She has long hair.”和“She/He has short hair.”

【设计意图】:通过课件直观呈现具有鲜明外貌特征的不同人物,引导学生学会运用本课词汇、句型描述人物的外貌特征。直观图片的选择能给学生留下深刻的印象。学习过程中紧密联系学生身边的人(同学或家人),引导学生运用新学知识描述他们的外貌特征,做到学以致用,让学生感受学习英语的乐趣。
