五,课前准备:制作课件和两组标志的卡片
六,教学步骤:
Step1, Warming up
Show the students some PPTs :内容包括乱停车,随手摘花,随地吐痰,公共场合大声喧哗等。然后提出问题:Do you think these are good manners ?
切入标题:Unit 10 What does that sign mean ?
Step2 Presentation
Show the students a PPT and ask what it is ? Help them answer "It is a “sign" .Teach the new word" sign",
Then ask: What does that sign mean? Teach “mean”.
Help the students to answer “It means ‘Do not talk !’” Teach
“talk”and “Do not talk !”
Pay attention on“Do not talk!”=“No talking!”
4 , Teach the new words and drills in the same way.
Step3 Reading
1, Read the new words.
First, let the students read after the teacher.
Second , read the new words by themselves .
Then, ask some students to read loudly. The teacher check them .
Last , let the students read together and read after the teacher.
2. Read Part B in the same way.
Step 4, Showing Time
1. Have a PK
A, Divide the students into two groups. The teacher shows the sign cards ,the students say out its meaning in English .See which group works better.
B, ask two groups(Each group has 6 students)to stand in a line, facing the windows .The teacher plays the tape ,the student who has the card holds up the card quickly .See which group will do a better job.
C, Let them read Part B after the teacher .
Though learning these signs ,we should understand a truth :Obey the rules and keep polite !
