四、教学步骤：
Warming-up
（1）Game: Spelling bee拼读大比拼
（A）PPT呈现已学词汇but, mum, funny, under, up, uncle.
T:Who can read these words?
T: They all have the letter U. What does the letter U say in these words?
引导学生总结U字母在重读闭音节中的发音。
（B）PPT再呈现词汇 cut, nut, just, must, luck, study.
引导学生通过运用总结的字母U发音规则，拼读单词为后面的教学做准备。
以同样方式复习字母I 的读音
（2）Listen and spell
(A) PPT呈现tomato，today，together，potato.请同学们听音总结O字母的发音[?]，并再次呈现单词collect请同学们拼读新词。
(B) 呈现词汇study, think, find, collect, report, information.请同学们听音填写缺少的字母。
设计意图：通过大量练习学习字母和组合i,o,u,or的拼读规则，引导学生自己拼读新词汇。为后面的正式学习做好铺垫。
Presentation
（1）呈现单词study和图片，通过反复拼读和认读，帮助学生掌握study 的读音和意思。并结合已学句型be going to ... 进行练习，为后面的阅读做准备。
以同样的方式学习其他词汇find，collect，think等。
（2）Let’s read. 读课文回答问题。
(A).Fast reading
Q1: What are they going to do ?
（3）Intensive reading. Read and write the blanks.
Q2：What are they going to do for a research ?
S1: They’re going to read and find information.
S2: They’re going to collect pictures.
S3: They’re going to study and think.
S4: They’re going to write a report.
设计意图：通过图片向学生呈现单词的意思，帮助学生更好理解和记忆词汇。运用已学词汇和句型进行阅读，巩固所学知识并及时运用。
