Review words

T: We have learned 12 months of a year. Now, let’s review them.(Show the word cards of 12 months of a year to the students and the students will read it.Then ask one student ‘ When is your birthday?’.)

T: Very good! Today we still will learn Unit 5 when is your birthday. First, I want to show you a video.(Show the video to the class.)

T: Who can tell me what are they doing?

T: Yes, Princess Elsa is celebrating birthday for princess Anna. So, they are celebrating the birthday. All of them have a good time. After princess Elsa came back home, she wrote a diary about the birthday party......Let’s read the diary of princess Elsa together.(1.Read the diary and explain the diary to the students. 2. Let the students to follow the teacher to read the diary. 3.Give 2 minutes to them to read this diary. 4. Ask one student to read it.)

T: Princess Elsa and her friends did a lot of things on the birthday party. What do you usually do on your friends’ birthday? Please write it down. Here are some activities for you to choose to write your passage. You can write it like this......

T: If you are finished, please read it. I’ll give you 5 minutes to write it. Now you can begin.(After 5 minutes, ask some students to share their passage.)

T: Princess Elsa also want to make a birthday card for her sister. But she was sick......(show the PPT.) Can you help her to make a birthday card for Anna?

S: Yes!

T: Ok, before we making the card, lets see how to make a card. Please take out your book and turn to page 24 and look at part F. The 1st step is ....., The 2nd step is .......... I’ll give you one piece of paper and some colored pens. You can make it in groups and 5 people in 1 group.(give the material to the students.). Now you have 5 minutes to make your card.

T: Who wants to show your card to the class?

S:This is my card.........

T: Well done! All of you did a good job. Now, we still have some time. Let’s do some exercise.(show the PPT.)(Ask some students to do the exercise.)
