教师利用课件，出示上几个单元的单词，看谁反应快，读的又快又准。
Put on a play, rose,gift,glue,july,don’t eat in class....
表现好的小组，增加一颗小石头奖励。
Presentation and practice
1、Today we are going to learn Unit8， let’s look at the title.教师出示课题
Unit8 Can you show me the way to the Xinhua Hotel?
讲解Xinhua Hotel 首字母需要大写，普及相关大写的知识。
2、In this unit we will talk about directions.let’s look at some pictures in the screen.
老师展示turn left,turn right, go straight的图片，what’s the meaning of these pictures? Do you know?
学生自由表达看法。
老师利用课件展示单词卡片意思。依次学习turn left,turn right, go straight。老师边教边把准备好的四线三格纸贴在黑板上，引导学生用正确的书写方法书写词组。教读词组。
3、出示get on 和get off 的图片，对比两张图的意思，猜测词意，边学习边书写词组。
用同样的方法学习hotel,hospital,air port,railway station.在单词旁边标注好音标，便于记住发音。
4、老师教读单词。
先请同学们听单词录音，听三遍后，跟读单词，再由老师教读难词。
5、课前在黑板上画4只瓶子和1只小鸟，瓶子里装有少量水，但是少到小鸟喝不到，只有不断从瓶子里面扔石头，水才能涨上来，让小鸟喝到水。四只瓶子分别代替四个小组，小组成员读对一个单词则表扬一个小石头，看哪个小组最先让小鸟喝到水。

通过这个游戏，可以看出哪些单词掌握了，哪些没有掌握，这样更便于老师重点教学。
