Teaching Procedures:
Step1 Review
1. Ask and answer about the advantages and disadvantages of riding bicycles to review the lesson of section A. Then read it again.
2. Talk about the some pictures in PPT in groups to review the bicycle accident.
Step2 Presentation
1. Show the pictures and discuss the results of breaking the traffic rules with IF.(Write the sentences on the blackboard, then read them again.)
Eg: If you break the rules, you will get a fine.
2. Read and match the two parts of the sentences to make traffic rules.
3. Do more exercise about if.
Step3. Consolidation
1. Let the students practice 1a in roles, then ask several pairs to act it out.
2. Explain some traffic rules with adverbial clauses of condition.
For example:
If you ride your bike on the street, you must be careful.
If the traffic lights turn red, you must stop.
If we ride bikes at night, we’d better wear bicycle helmets.
Step4 Practice
