活动1 Before class

Greet each other.
Ask the pupils if they are happy. Lead them to know about their friends’ feelings.
Review the words about feelings.
活动3 Presentation
Show the picture of Lingling, ask them “How does Lingling feel?” Let the students guess and listen to the tape. Then , teach the word” afraid” .
Listen and repeat the new word together, in groups and individually. Ask some of the students to read the word to check their pronunciation. Lingling is afraid , what will lingling say? Listen and repeat the sentence “ I’m afraid.” Teach the sentence.
“Lingling is afraid, are you afraid?” Lead the students to say the sentences” No, I’m not afraid.” Teach the sentence
Show another two pictures of children , help the students to express their feeling “ I’m (not) afraid.”
Teach the other words ( tired, clever, difficult )in a similar way,
活动4 Drills
Ask the students to close their books, teach the word“ close” by acting. Show the cards of the words , ask the students to read loudly.
Play a game “pick up the words”, students will be divided into 2 groups. A boy and a girl will come to the front of the blackboard, and the teacher will act the words, the rest of the students will say the words loudly, the two kids will pick the right picture which be presented on the blackboard as quick as possible. There will be 3 groups to compete, the last winner will get the heated applause.
Act and say . the teacher act ,the students are asked to say “I’m(not)……”
活动5 Meaningful practice
Show some pictures about children’s feelings, lead the students to use the target language independently.
Help the students understand the the words “ kid , difficulty , difficulties , worry ”.by comparing the similar pictures.
Lead the students to say “ Don’t worry. You are still a kid. You will be better later on” in proper situations.
Listen part A and help the students understand the dialogue by answering the questions.
Read and role-play the dialogue in partA.
