Arouse the interest of the Students, they can use what they have learnt for their heights.
Master some important sentences.

He’s 1.85 meters tall.
She’s a bit short.

Teaching steps:
Step1. Lead-in
Lead-in by showing some students of different pictures in different heights. Let students ask some questions about the pictures. Finally present the results in front of class.
Step2. Listening
Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the passage. then fill in the blanks.
Bob is __tall.
Li Lin is ___tall.
Step3. Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions.
How tall is Jack?
How tall is Jenny?
Step4. Practice
Write a note to introduce your height.
Work in groups to finish the tasks. Practise for a while,
And then let some groups present their notes in front of class.
Step5. Come to “Let’s do it!”
Listen to the tape, and finish exercise 1 together. Read the passage again, and ask the students to finish exercise 2.
Ask the students to finish exercise 3 by themselves.
Step6. Homework.
