Lead-in (导入)
Greeting and free-talking
Greet the students and ask whether they had breakfast or not.Then, ask them what they would like for breakfast.
Presentation(新授)
①Show Ss a picture, telling them that Danny is hungry and his mum wants to make breakfast for them. Let students guess “what does Danny’s mum want him to do?” After the guessing, let Ss listen to the tape and finish task 1 on page 59.
②Next, show them another picture which is a scene of a corner store. Ask Ss to guess from the picture about what Danny talks with the clerk and what he buys. After the guessing, play the tape and let Ss finish task 2 on P59.
③Tell Ss that though Danny bought something from the store,his mum is not very happy.Show them the third picture and ask them to come up with sentences between Danny and his mum. Then ask them to read conversation 3 on P58 and find the real conversation between Danny and his mum.
Drill(操练)

Ask Ss to practice the three conversations with his or her partner and let three pairs to act out the conversation in front of the whole class.
Practice(练习)
Tell Ss that because Danny didn’t buy the milk, he only had a little food for breakfast. Now he is hungry and wants to buy something to eat. He has a conversation with his mum. Then let Ss fill in the blanks in task 3 on P59 and see what happened.
Choose five Ss to write their answer on the blackboard, Then check the answers with the whole class by reading the sentences in the conversation one by one.
Consolidation(巩固)
①Language output: Show Ss a picture of a corner store with many kinds of foods and a clerk in it and give them a background--- You are travelling in America and wants to have something to eat or drink. There is a store in front of you and you see this beautiful clerk. Ask Ss to stand up and walk around the classroom to find one or two partners. They can expand their imagination and make up their own conversation. Choose one group to show it to the whole class.
②Classroom quiz : Send five examination questions to the ipads of the Ss and monitor their rate of progress as well as the correct answer fill rate through my computer. Then explain the ones that they made mistake with. At last, read all the questions group by group to strengthen their understanding.
③Sing a song
Teach Ss to sing the song Twenty bottles of water on P58
Summary (课堂小结)
Lead Ss to read the words and phrases we have learned today and help them to summarize that we have learned to buy things and have a conservation with the clerk in English.
Homework(家庭作业)
Write down the conversation you made and talk it with your friends.
