T: Today I’d like to introduce my new pen pal to you. Her name is Marry.
Present a map of the world.
T: We are here. We live in China. Marry comes from the US. She speaks English. English is her mother language. She wants to know something about China. Can you help her?
Ss: Yes.
T: What do you know about China?
Ss: ……….
T: I know you know a lot about China, but it’s a little difficult for you to introduce China in English. Let’s learn Lesson 45:China. Then you can introduce China to Marry in English confidently.
设计意图:先问候学生,拉近情感距离,再引出今天的话题。这节课的主题及内容都是学生所熟知的,因此采用创设情境的方式进行导入,让学生通过给老师的笔友Marry用英语介绍中国这个情景导入,与后面的写作任务前后呼应,激发学生用英语谈论中国的兴趣。并在此环节设置的情景中呈现并学习新词汇language。
