内容分析
The lesson is chosen from Grade 8 (Project English) and is the important position of the teaching material. Such a topic is related to the students’ daily life closely, so it’s easy for them to understand and learn it well.
教学重点
1. Learn and master new words and phrases.
2. Learn some reading strategies.
教学难点
For the students, the difficult points are to introduce Craig to others as well as enhancing their awareness of helping themselves and others.
学情分析
It is known to us that junior students are active, curious and thirsty for language. But sometimes some of them are self-centered and they don’t have high sense of responsibility.
教学目标
According to the new standard curriculum and syllabus, after studying the teaching material and the students, I set the teaching aims as follows:
1. Knowledge aims
(1) To master some new words, phrases and useful expressions: address, regret, gather, group, member, purpose, birthplace
(2) To learn some reading strategies.
2. Ability aims
To train the students’ abilities of working in pairs and communication by learning the useful language points. Meanwhile, let the students talk about the traffic rules freely.
3. Emotional aims
To build their awareness of helping and caring about others.

2. Finish parts of teaching case(导学案)
教学策略
As we all know, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Junior Middle School is to train the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of English language. So in this lesson, I’ll mainly use “Task-based Approach”, “Communicative Approach”, “Listening and Speaking Approach”.
