Read the text quickly. And answer the following questions.

⑸ How did they help Jason and his family ?
Encourage the students to work in groups. Then show the answers to the above questions on PPT one by one. Check answers together.

合作探究:
PPT展示重点短语。小组合作完成,对该短语及所在句子在文中的意思解释,并对相关用法进行探究、讲解。(采取得分制。分数少的组可多给机会。)
Language points :
a 12-year-old boy 是“数词-单数名词-形容词”结构,相当于一个形容词,可做前置定语修饰后面的名词,其中表示计量的名词year要用单数。
这类形容词有两个特点:一是数词、名词、形容词间要用连字符;二是数词后的名词要用单数形式。
