教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in
Greet the students in everyday English and make sure they can response correctly.
Teach the new words, make sure the Ss can read it correctly.
Step 2. Warm-up
Show students some pictures of the activities on weekend, such as playing football/basketball, watching TV. And lead students to answer “What do you usually do on weekend?” to make sure students can have a better understanding of the plans on weekend.
Step 3. New Lesson
1)The teacher give students few minutes to think about the following question, and give the correct answer.
What does this passage mainly talk about?
2)The teacher explain the text in Chinese.
Text:
It's lunch time on Friday. Danny and Jenny are having lunch together.
Jenny: Danny, are you OK? You can't stay still today. And you never eat your lunch so fast. Are you in a hurry to go somewhere?
Danny: No. Actually Jenny, I ha ve big plans for the weekend! I can't wait. It's going to be a good weekend!
Jenny: Oh! That's great. What are you going to do this weekend?
Danny: I'm going to learn something new this Saturday. Cooking! And I love donuts. So I am going to make donuts.
3)The teacher conclude the phrases to students and give some examples to practice:
1. have lunch 吃午饭 =take /eat lunch
Eg. I never have/take/eat lunch at school. 我从来不在学校吃午饭。
2. in a hurry to do sth. 急于去做…
Eg. He is in a hurry to go to school. 他急于去学校。
3. help sb. with sth. =help sb. (to) do sth. 帮助某人做某事
Eg. Tony often helps me learn English.
=Tony often helps me _with_ my English.
4. would like/love to do sth. 想要做某事。 =want to do sth.
Eg. I would like to go shopping with you.
=I want to go shopping with you.
4) Ask students to finish the exercise in page57, and check the answer with the students.
