Teaching aids: Recorder, pictures or cards.

Type of the lesson: New lesson.

Teaching procedure：

Step 1 Lead in.

Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.

Do the duty report: a student on duty can say whatever he/she likes to say.

What do you often do on weekends?

Step 2. New lesson.

1)Give them some time to read the text themselves. Then finish exercise one on the learning paper. Correct their pronunciation when necessary.

2)Encourage the Ss read the text for a second time,complete exercise two.

3)Ask the Ss to read the text for a third time,complete exercise three.

4)Try to retell the text according to the key words on the blackboard.

5)Encourage the volunteers the come to the front to retell the lesson in his own words.At last,the teacher explain the text in Chinese,make sure the Ss can understand the meaning of text.

Practise:finish the exercise on the learning paper.

Summary.

Sum up the text what we learned,the new words,phrases,and sentences.

Sum up the grammar.

Homework.

Write a short passage about your weekend.
