Step 1:Greetings
T: Hello, everyone. How are you today?
Ss: Fine, thank you.
T: What day is it?
Ss: It’s Thursday.
T: What’s the date today?
Ss: It’s May the eleventh.
T: What’s the weather like today?
Ss: It’s sunny.
Step 2: Lead-in
a. To play the radio, ask the students to listen a song about “Hello! Hello! How are you” This song is just about how are you. So I’ll give my greetings to my students.
b. Show a picture of @. Help the students know the meaning of @ —It means “at”, it’s the sign of e-mail, so tell the students that this lesson is just about e-mail.
Step 3: New words and phrases
Show the new words with some pictures. Help the students know the meaning of the words and phrases. And ask some students to spell them.
Step 4: Listening
Play the tape and lead the students to have a general idea about the text. Then write true (F) or false (F).
