VI Teaching procedures
Step 1 Lead-in
Lead in the class by drawing some food on the blackboard. And the ask one of the students, “What’s your favorite food? How often do you eat it/them?”And ask other students whether she has a good eating habit or not.
Step 2 Checking review
Check the students preview about new words and phrases in Lesson 37. First, get them to tell their Chinese meanings one by one. And then ask them to read them together aloud. I will correct their wrong pronunciation.
Finally, get the students to do Ex2 in “Let’s Do It.”to strengthen the students understanding of new words and phrases.
Step 3 Listening
Play the tape twice and get the students to listen to the tape carefully and do Ex1 in “Let’s Do It.”to develop students’ listening skills.
Step 4 Reading
Fist, get the students to read the dialogue in roles
together. Then get the to do Ex2 in “Let’s Do It.”in oral.
Step 5 Talking in groups and showing
Get the students to talk about their own eating habits by using the questions, ““What’s your favorite food? How often do you eat it/them?”
Then get three pairs to show their dialogue in front of the class.
Finally, get one of the students to stand out to interview any student in the classroom.
