七年级这个时期学生的主要特点是：
1、经过小学英语的学习对英语有了初步的认识，他们乐于表现，好奇心强。
2、由于学生来自周边各村，英语水平参差不齐，英语习惯、思维需进一步提高。
3、对新鲜，时尚的话题感兴趣。好奇心强，但缺乏尝试的勇气。
根据教师为主导，学生为主体的教学原则，本堂课我将创设英语情景，让学生真正的融入到学习英语的情景中，让他们主动开口讲英语。根据学生的特点我会进行小组交流，小组合作探究，各小组竞赛的方法最大程度的调动学生积极性，让学生真正的成为课堂上的主体。
教学过程
Step 1 Lead in
教师给学生呈现一组运动会的照片引出本课的话题。然后教师可以先向学生提问一些问题:
Did you take part in a sports meet? What events did you take part in?
通过谈论运动会学生进一步明确从事锻炼的重要性,同时学习一些新单词。
Step 2 Listening
1.Listen to the passage and finish Exercise 1 in “Let’s Do It!”

Step 3 Reading

Ask the students to listen and read after the tape.
