Step1 Class Opening
1.Greetings
T: Good afternoon, class. How are you today?
And then let students say hello to their deskmates.
2.Lead in
Talk about colours and play a game in order to draw their attention.
Let them talk about date and weather by showing a calendar and review Jenny’s summer holidays from Lesson 47 to lead the title of lesson 48.
Step2 Present
1.Instruct the students to read the title of Lesson48.
And ask the students to guess what they will learn today?
2. Learn new words.
Show the pictures to the students.
Let them think: Who is he in the picture? Where is he? Why are they in the countryside? (Help the students answer the questions.)
And ask them to find the new words from the two sentences.
Then read the new words more times in order that they can listen and read the passage very well.
Step3 Listening
Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.
1. Our school _________ a special two-week summer camp.
2. I will _________ a new life in another part of China.
3. I am really looking _________ to it.

Step3 Reading
I. Fast reading
Instruct the students to read Lesson48 by themselves, and answer the questions. (1 min)
