Step 2.Present
Show a picture of Li Ming: T: This is Li Ming. What is he doing?
S: He is helping with farm work.
T: That’s right. Li Ming has a great plan for summer. He is going to be an exchange student. What is an exchange student? We think of the programme 变形记
Listen and answer: What is Li Ming’s plan?
Step 3.Read
Read the text and write T or F.
Discuss the answers and check them.
Read it aloud and make a key-word map: walk—fish—listen—lucky; be over—do well in—summer camp—countryside—stay with—come and live— take part in—experience a new life—write down …and share…with—fun—look forward to
Close books and retell it.
Step 4.Listen
Play the audiotape for ex2 and ask the students to listen.
Play the audiotape a second time and ask them to tick the correct answers.
Check the answers as a class.
Step 5.Group work
Suppose you will go on your dream summer holiday. Discuss: Where? How? Who? What? How long?
