教学策略与设计说明
本课教学过程中以贯彻《英语课程标准》倡导的“体验、实践、参与、合作与交流”的理念为主线，力求打造高效课堂，把课堂还给学生，真正让学生成为课堂的主人。在课堂中，要注意学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、文化意识等的培养，让学生在获得知识的同时学会学习和形成正确的价值观。
1 恰当运用多媒体辅助教学，提高课堂效率，增加趣味性。
2．以学生为主体，开展Role play, Reading competition, pair work, Group work 等教学活动。
3. 注重分层教学，尊重差异，让不同的学生都能参与进来，获得成就感。
4“小组合作探究”活动任务明确，活动面广，学生之间互帮互助，提高合作、分享意识。
学情分析
八年级上学期的学生已经有了一些学英语的有效方法、一定的认知能力和语言基础，但仍需扎实基础，提升能力，仍需教师积极引导，调动学习积极性。此阶段的学生学习差异性比较大，部分学习能力强的学生表现更为优异，对英语学习有较强的自信心，他们能积极参与课堂活动，针对这些学生，教师要设计对语言能力要求较高的活动，引导他们在小组活动中积极与他人合作，起到带头作用。对于语言能力较差，基础较差并且自信心不足的学生，教师要鼓励他们，针对他们设计容易完成的活动，使其体验到成功的喜悦，重新树立学英语的自信心。

重点 :
1. Learn to how to buy a present in a shop.
2. New words and phrases: size ,fit, anyway, the same size as…,try on.
难点:
1.Get the students to learn how to communicate with the salesman.
2.Talking about Size correctly.

Teacher: Good afternoon, class. I’m very happy all of you here could attend this class today. You all look very lively. Ask the students:
1.How do you feel today?
2.Could you tell me what the date today is?
3.I want to know whose birthday today is ?
I wonder who in our class is celebrating their birthday this week/next week?
Raise your hand if your birthday is today /this week/next week.
