Step 2. Free-talk: what’s your favorite snack?

Stage 2. Revision

Use the ppt to show out some pictures about different kinds of snacks to review the names of the food.

Stage 3. Pre-listening

Step 1 .Look at the picture from our books and guess what they may talk about.

Step 2 .list a few questions for the students

Q1: what will kangkang cook for the food festival?

Q2: Does kangkang need his mother’s help?

Q3: What does kangkang need to cook the food?

Stage 3. While –listening

Step 1.let the students listen to the tape, and find the answers to the three questions.

Step 2. Listen for a second time and check the answers.

Step 3. Discuss the answers with your classmates.

Step 4. Check the answers together.

Stage 4. Post-listening

Step 1. Finish the task in 1b.

Step 2. Read the dialogue after the tape one sentence by one sentence.

Step 3. Role-play. The boys read the kangkang’s part and the girls read Jane’s part. And then exchange.

Step 4. Close book and retell the dialogue.

Stage 5 homework

Make a similar dialogue by themselves.
