T: Boys and girls, we have learned about neighbourhood.

Today I want to introduce my neighbourhood to you. Lead in this lesson by a picture of my neighbourhood . Some students live near my neighbourhood, so it is easy to stimulate students’ interest.

Step 2 :Learn New Words and Phrase.

Introduce my neighbourhood from the pond to the shopping mall.

This is a little pond in front of the building I live in.

Across from the street, there is a bank.

There is also a shopping mall in my neighbourhood which is only one block away from my home. I spent 155yuan on my daughter’s coat. That is to say, it cost me 155yuan.I often chat with my friends there for the whole afternoon.Set up a real life situation then lead the students to learn the new words. It can help students have a better understanding of new words. And they can also learn about how to talk about neighbourhood and activities they do there.Step 3 : Listening

II. Read after the tape.Develop students’ reading skills. Let them know the details of this lesson. And emphasize the new words in the exercise.Step5: Practice Talk about Michael’s neighbourhood according to the mind map.
