【Teaching Key Points】

Master new words and phrases, as well as listening and reading ability practice.

【Teaching difficult points】

Under listening and reading practice’s foundation, to encourage students to practice their spoken ability with the words or phrase we’ve just learned in class.

【Teaching method】

According to the New Teaching Concept, I would like to take the students as “boss” in class, try the best to meet students’ needs. So, I would use discussion, pair work and as well as interesting activities besides traditional task-based teaching method.

【Teaching process】

Step1 Greeting;

Teacher: good afternoon, class.

All the students: good afternoon, teacher.

Step 2 Review

T: Since we’ve already finished Unit Seven, now let’s review it with some simple questions, okay?

Ss: Yes.

T: Do you have your own hobby and what’s it? ( ask some of the students to give response.)

Ss: yes, my hobby is......

T: Good for you. (giving students my praise in time to encourage them. )

Step3 Preview

Warming—up and Leading—in: After finishing a simple review of the Unit Seven, i will ask them to look at the slide show and guide them to find out some words related to the topic of the lesson, such as famous or special to describe those characters in the photo. Then give students some of those pictures and ask them to introduce them with the knowledge they have about those character. For example, he is a football player, and he is good at playing football. (set a foundation before they gonna to talk about their special points. )

Step4 Presentation

Present the new words and phrases of the lesson to students, and then teach them to master those new points as good as possible.

Step5 Practice

1. Listening practice: After help students master those new, move to practice their listening ability gradually. Students will be asked to listen to the tape and complete Let’s Do It! Part one individually, at last check the answer in a oral way.

2. Speaking practice: Secondly, practice students’ spoken ability through learn about and make full use of those three key sentence structures in this lesson ,for most of the students can reach the level.

Step 6 Production

When almost all of these practices finished, ask students to do some related questions, such as, part 1 on Exercise Paper. And also some other activities, if time limited.

Step7 Summary

Make a simple conclusion with a few minutes before the class is over.
