Step 1: Revision
Retell the lesson 1,let Ss listen carefully. Ask some questions:
Did you hear a weather report?
What’s the weather like today?
What’s the temperature today?
What season is it now?
Revise the words of describing weather (show some pictures )
Step 2: Lead—in
(Say: As we know, there are four seasons in a year. They are spring, summer, autumn, winter. My favorite season is spring. why? Because it is warm, I can go out to play outdoors. We can do many outdoor activities .)show some pictures about spring and outdoors activities.
Which season is your favorite?
What do you like to do in spring?
Let the Ss discuss the questions in groups. Then let them answer questions.
Step 3: presentation
Show the pictures, learn new words.
(boots/jasmine/winter jasmine/swing)
Spring is coming. I don’t need to wear my boots.
Jasmine: a plant that grows up a wall, frame etc. And has small ,sweet-smelling white or yellow flowers.
Winter jasmine: People think the blossom of this flower always tells the coming spring, so we call winter jasmine “the welcoming-spring flower”.
Swing: Look, the children are playing on the swings.
Tai Chi: A kind of sport. They are practicing Tai Chi.
Present new words. Teach the Ss to read and pay attention to their pronunciations.
