Students are very familiar with the topic and they are learning writing,which will help them a lot to achieve the final goals.

教学重、难点:

This is a depiction of scenery about Kunming.It’s a reading for writing lesson,which has four paragraphs and more than one hundred words in all,including two new words and four phrases.In addition,students have to learn the way of describing Kunming.The focus for this lesson is writing a new composition to describe Handan.

导入:

活动1

warming-up

Before new lesson,I’d like to share a piece of good news with my students.It’s an e-mail I received.Let the students know our task .We need to write a composition to describe Handan in different seasons.The title is :Welcome to Handan in ________.

活动2:

Pre-reading

Show some pictures of Kunming and talk about what they know about Kunming.And I write down the key elements on the blackboard.

活动3

While-reading

Let the students read the text and find out if the elements are mentioned in the text.And tell us your evidence.They can find some other elements we didn’t find .At last,tell us the writing order of this text.

Climate

After getting the answers,let the students to retell the text with elements of describing Kunming to understand the text well.

Post-reading

Brainstorm

Think of some other elements of describing Handan,besides the elements of Kunming.

Write a composition to describe Handan with the elements on the blackboard.The students can choose their favourite elements to write and make their own writing order.
