Step1 Class Opening (2min) Greet students with“ Good afternoon”
Step2 Lead in (3min) From last lesson, we know that plants are important to people. So when spring comes every year, people go out to plant trees. Also, many people enjoy planting plants in their gardens. But do you think it is easy to plant plants?... this afternoon, I would like to introduce a famous person, a good gardener-
Step3 Read (5min) Get students to read the text one by one. Correct the mistakes.
Step4 Listening (5min) Books closed! Get students to listen to the tape and try to complete these two sentences: ⑴ .When is the best time to (plant vegetables)?
⑵ .You have fun (working in your garden). Then discuss together.
Step5 Play the game Substitution (7min) Get some students to find some words instead of the words in the brackets to complete the sentences.
When is the best time to (read books/ exercise/ go to bed/ have breakfast/ fly kits/ go swim…)?
Step6 Structures (8min) Get some volunteers to explain the important structures and have the students to correct the mistakes .
Step7 Speak loudly (5min) Planting plants is not easy, I think. Now, if you have some questions and you want to write a letter to Mary for help. Please share your letter with others. OK? Then ask two volunteers to share their letters with others.
