VI.Teaching procedures:
Step1: Review
The teacher will draw a blackboard drawing of a plant on the blackboard, then invite some students to write down every parts of the plants in English.
Step2:Lead in
A short video about plants grow will be presented on.
T: You need to think what is this video about?
(After watching,teacher will ask” what is it about?”)
S: About plant!
T:Can you be more specific?
S: About plants’ growth.
T:Great! Now can you guess what we will learn today? We will learn about Lesson 12 to learn how to describe a plant’s growing process.
Step3:Presentation
1.Words
The teacher will use a real plant as well as pictures to guide students to learn the new words,such as, stem, leaves...
Then teacher will teach students the pronunciation of the new words,next ask students to practise by themselves.
Invite some students to read.
Read as a class.
2.Text
T: First let’s listen to the text, meanwhile you have to think about it” what happened to Danny’s plants?” We will listen it for twice. Then some students will be invited to share the answers.
T: Now Let’s look at “Let’s Do IT” part to finish it in groups. Then check the answers.
Step4:Practice
Students read the text together.
Divide students into girls group and boys group to read the text.
Step5:Consolidation
