四、教学步骤
Step 1. Presentation : (about 5 min)
Show some pictures and ask questions, get the students to answer the questions and understand the meanings.
【设计思路】:用图片新授单词,让学生可以对形象生动的画面产生深刻的印象,激发学习兴趣,调动多种感官参与学习活动,更好地理解单词意思以及在语境中的用法。
Step 2. Leading in (about 2 min)
Show a picture of Guinness World Records and tell the students that it’s full of world records. Ask : Do you want to set a world record ? Do you want to be a champion ? Danny want to be a champion. Will he succeed ?
【设计思路】:进一步激发学生兴趣,引发学生思考。
Step 3. Listening(about 5 min)
Play the tape, get the students to listen and write true or false.
After listening, check the answers . Make sure that the students can understand.
【设计思路】:培养学生的听力,让学生大致了解文章内容。
Step 4. Reading (about 10 min)
Get the students to read the text and write down the answers to the questions.
After reading , check the answers. Make sure that the students can understand.
Then explain the new words and useful expressions in class.
【设计思路】:培养学生的阅读能力,让学生深入了解课文内容,能够使用简略答语正确回答问题,并掌握生词和短语。
Step 5. Talking ( about 10 min )
Ask : Have you read the Guinness World Records ? Do you know who can do the most hula-hoops ?
Then show two pictures about Jin Linlin and something about her.
Ask the students to work in groups and talk about Jin Linlin.
At last, get some groups to present in class and write a short passage .
