Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead in
Learn mew words and phrases.
Ask the students to make a “brain storm” of the food we learned.
Ask the students to show the menus they design and act out the conversation of ordering a meal in a restaurant.(check the homework) Then elicit 1a.(If someone is too busy to go to the restaurant, How should he or she order a meal?)
Step 2 Have the students to see the flash of 1a and answer the two questions:
1. Who answers the phone? 2. What would Mr. Zhao like?
Step 3 Let the students read through the conversation in 1a and then complete the table in 1b.
Step 4 Listen to 1a and repeat
Step 5 Read 1a in pairs and then act it out.
Step 6 Find out the important phrases in 1a.
