教学过程:

Step1:Warming up

T: Good afternoon ,class. Today we will learn a fable.A fable is a short story about animals,plants,forces of nature,ect. Do you like reading fables?Show some pictures about fables to students.

设计意图:通过询问学生感兴趣的问题导入新课,调动学生的学习积极性。

Step2:Teaching New Words

Show some pictures and teach new words phrases in the lesson.

Step3:Listen, Read and Answer

Listen to the tape and know the meaning of the fable.

Read the lesson and answer the questions.

(1)What happened to the woodcutter when he was cutting wood beside a lake?

(2)Who appeared as the woodcutter cried?

(3)How did the woodcutter get back his old axe?

(4)Why did the spirit give the woodcutter the other two axes as presents?

T: Boys and girls,it’s our reading time.Please read quickly and find the answer to the following questions. And then you can discuss in your groups.(Show Let’s Do It! No.1 on PPT)

3、Read the lesson again. Think about the spirit and the woodcutter. Match each person with the words that describe them.
