Teaching procedures:
Step1 Leading in
Instruct the students to work in pairs, discuss the following questions.
Suppose tomorrow is your birthday, what gifts would you like to get?
If you receive a gift you don’t like, what will you say or what will you do?
Encourage the students to speak English as much as possible. Help them if necessary. Then sum up all the answers together.
Step2 New words
Leave the students a few minutes to learn the new words by themselves, then ask some students to read them one by one. Correct their mistakes on time. Make sure the students read the words very smoothly and fluently.
Complete some exercises(EX.2) independently.
Step3 Reading and answering
Instruct the students to read the first e-mail, then answer true or false.
