重点:New words and phrases

Learn the spirit of the disabled people.

Call on the whole world to take more care of the disabled.

难点:Know about the difficulties that the disabled people have to face in the world.

教学设想及设想依据

根据英语教学大纲的规定,通过听、说、读、写的训练,使学生获得英语基础,培养学生的交际能力,激发学生的学习兴趣。设计本课时,采用任务型阅读教学法,引出谈论假想情况的话题。 采用提问、启发、讨论和归纳的教法,让学生易于接受教材内容,理解阅读内容,学习本文主人公Jane对生活的积极乐观态度,鼓励学生从小培养战胜困难的百折不挠的勇气和决心。学会善待生命,善待他人,尤其是残疾人。使学生明白谁是真正的残疾人。同时也完成了情感教育。

教学方法:

听、说、读、写和小组合作

教学手段:

主要以现代化电教手段——多媒体辅助教学,贯穿整个过程,增加了直观性和趣味性,加大了课堂密度,提高教学效果。

教学过程设计:

Step1、Warming up

First of all, introduce my lucky life. Because I achieve my dream--- be a good teacher, I feel lucky; then let the students think and talk “What kind of life do you think it is lucky? ” They think if they have good friends, much money, a healthy body, good jobs, good marks, a happy family and so on, they will feel very happy.

设计意图:培养学生熟练运用语言进行交际的能力,让学生运用所学知识向自己的伙伴、朋友谈论 money , family,jobs , health , good marks , friends的重要性及原因。

Step2、Lead-in and teach new words

Play the piano music by Beethoven then let the students guess who created it. Tell them he is a disabled person, he couldn’t hear but he created lots of famous music. Go on showing some more pictures of Edison and Hawking. Make the students know they are disabled people, but they have a right attitude toward life, they all have a lucky life.

设计意图:通过创设音乐背景,把学生的注意力吸引到本课中来,做好情感上的铺垫.由《命运交响曲》的曲作者贝多芬的身残志坚引出世界上残疾名人及其图片:爱迪生,霍金。他们虽然是残疾人,但是他们对生活充满积极向上的态度,他们同样拥有美好的人生。教育学生树立正确的人生观和价值观。

Step3、Listen and read.

1.Listen to the audiotape of the text , and ask the students to circle the right answers.
