Step 1:Leading-in

T:Hello,boys and girls. Nice to see you again!Today we will learn Lesson 8.Please look at the picture. Who is he?
Ss:Einstein.
T:Yes,you are right. Can you tell me something about him?
Ss:Yes. He was born in...(各抒己见,必要时可用汉语说。)
T:OK. Look at Page 20 Lesson 8.Let’s learn more about Einstein. Ready?Go!
设计意图:直接导入与本文有关的内容,帮助学生建立一个有关爱因斯坦的介绍与成就这样一个图式,为下面文章的阅读和理解奠定基础。 二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Pre-reading
Learn the new words
T:OK,we have known something about Einstein. Now we will learn some new words. And this will help you to learn more about Einstein. Are you ready?
Ss:Yes!
T:Please read after me.(The Ss follow the teacher two times)

Step 3:While-reading
1.Task 1 Scan reading(速读).
教师将全班同学划分为5个小组,小组中优帮差,小组间合作探究,迅速阅读课文,回答下面的问题。小组代表快速到黑板写出答案,组与组之间进行比赛,答对答案的赢得一颗星。
T:Boys and girls,please read quickly and find the answers to the following sentences. And then you can discuss in your groups. I will give you three minutes to think about the answers of Exercise 1 on Page 21.Then I will ask you to come to the front and write down the answers. If you write down the right answers you will win a star. Are you ready?Go!
设计意图:本活动要求学生快速把握课文信息,学会找关键句,不用详读,快速跳读,以找出答案为目的。通过小组合作,优生能够帮扶差生找到快速发现答案的技巧。
2.Task 2 Careful reading(细读).
T:Well done!Boys and girls!Now this time,I will make the exercise a little more difficult.
Read the article again and answer the questions of Exercise 2 on Page 21.And there is still a competition between you. I will give you five minutes. If you know the answers please put your hands up. And you will win stars for your group. Clear?Go!
设计意图:此活动在任务的设计上加大了一定的难度,细读对文章的内容有更进一步的理解。小组合作探究,优生帮扶差生,使差生能实际运用知识,获得成功的满足感。
3.Task 3 Read the article aloud after the recorder.
教师播放录音,播放一句,暂停一次,学生听并跟读对话。
