一.创设情境,切入主题
Step1:Warming up
T:Do you know when the World No Tobacco Day is?
Ss:Yes, I do.The World No Tobacco Day is April 4.
T:Do people in your family smoke?
Ss:Yes. My father smokes.
T:What do your advise him to do .
Ss:I advise him to give up smoking.
T: En…I think you have known that smoking is harmful to our health. It’s also bad for the environment. So we should keep away from smoking. Now ,let’s look at our text books “Don’t smoke ,please.”
设计意图:明确本课教学内容,引导学生进入本课的话题。
二.展开过程,探究新知
The teacher shows some pictures who smoke heavily and tells them smoking is harmful to our health.Then ask students to give examples which show smoking is harmful.
Present the new words of this lesson and teach them how to read until they can read them well.
Ask the students what we should do about smoking.and give them some tips.Then explain the main phrases and sentences of this lesson.
设计意图:多给学生一些讲话的机会,锻炼他们的口语表达能力。
Step2:Drill
Read the passage again and fill in the chart on Page9.
