教学过程 一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Warming up
T:Hello,everybody.When you don’t feel well,what do you usually do?
Ss:I usually tell my parents and ask them to take me to the hospital.
T:What’s your feeling when you are sick?
Ss:I feel quite bad.It seems that I’m going to die.
T:If you don’t feel well,what should you do first?
Ss:Go to the hospital or visit a doctor.
T:Your ideas are very wonderful!I think you can do the right decision when you don’t feel well.OK,now let’s look at how Danny deals with his illness.
设计意图:新课开始,教师通过设计几个学生感兴趣的问题导入新课,以调动他们学习的积极性。 二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Presentation
1.Teacher shows the words with PPT,and each PPT with a picture stands for a word we are going to learn:stomach,regret,fever,pale,pain,X-ray and then explain the meanings and the usages of these words.
2.Give the students five minutes to remember the words.And then the teacher picks out one of them.Let students spell and read them one by one.
设计意图:教师以PPT的形式学习新单词并单个记忆,学生记得快。
3.The students read the text by themselves.Give the students several minutes to remember the dialogue,then role play the dialogue.Find out the main phrases and sentences in the dialogue.
Step 3:Drill
Ask students to read the text again and do Exercise 1 and Exercise 2 on Page 3.
设计意图:学生反复听磁带并跟读。第一次听,要求学生大概理解对话的意思。第二次听,改为一句一句听,仔细听出每句话的内容。第三次听完成上面的问题。通过反复听磁带并跟读培养学生们听说的能力。
Step 4:Explain the whole dialogue
1.Explain the meaning of the whole dialogue sentence by sentence,help the students remember the main phrases and the main sentences.
(1)What is the worst illness you’ve ever had?你曾经得过最严重的病是什么?
worst是bad/ill/badly的最高级,在此处是bad的最高级。
ever adv.用于否定句、疑问句、条件状语从句,意为“曾经;在任何时候”,与at any time同义。
I hardly ever see him nowadays.我近来很少见到他。
(2)It’s 3:00 a.m. Danny wakes up his parents.凌晨3点,丹尼叫醒了他的父母。
