Lesson aim(s):

Main aim: By the end of the lesson the learners will have developed their understanding of past simple tense ,present simple tense and future simple tense.

Subsidiary aim: By the end of the lesson, the learners will have been able to write a full composition using the TL.. By the end of the lesson, they can talk in pairs and share their English learning experience.

Target language:

Blocking vocabulary: spoke , experience , make the meaning clear, improve, be afraid of making mistakes ,give up.

Assumed knowledge:

The learners will know how to use the correct tenses in writing and write a comparative piece using logical conjunctions and various phrases.

LESSON procedure:

Step 1: Lead-in

To show Ss two pictures about two years ago and now, which tells the differences from these two years, in this way set a natural context about today’s topic “my English Learning Experience.”

Step 2: Reading for specific information.

Do a fast reading about the text “My English Learning Experience”, Ss match the items below the passage.

Step 3:Feedback(Ss check in pairs , o/c fdbc)

Brainstorming six questions, Ss do the pair work or free talk.

Step 4:Writing Layout focus

Teacher shows Ss writing key points such as conjunctive phrases and logical phrases.

Ss finish the chart together with the teacher along with the blackboard goals.

Step 5: Feedback(Highlight the language structures used in the context from listening , speaking, reading and writing)

Step 6: Speaking Task: Teacher set several examples used two years ago and now, Ss make up sentences according to the sample sentences above the PPT.
