Students brainstorm some reasons why the sports meeting of this year is special for themselves.
e.g.: The sports meeting of this year is special because…(We won first prize. We worked as a team. The games were exciting.)
2. Students write down their own sentences.
3. Students read how Emma wrote about the reasons why that day is special for her.
Teacher leads students to analyze the relationship between the sentences. Then, teacher encourages students to try to imitate the logical relationship in Emma’s writing.
