Step1: lead-in
Today is the little boy’s birthday, would you like to say happy birthday to him?
Show them a video about Happy birthday, and ask students to sing with it.
Step 2 New words and phrases
Learn the new words of this unit, ask them to pay more attention to the pronunciation.
Ask students something about what the little boy and the little girl did in the video.
Learn the phrases with the pictures and sentences.
Show them some sentences to learn the adverbs of frequency.
Ask students to make a little dialogue about their birthday and act it out.
Step 3 Listening
Listen to the tape and fill in the blank with the correct words.
Listen again and check the answers.
Listen again and Check (√) the true sentences
Check their answers and try correct the mistakes with the them.
Step 4 Reading
Ask them to read the passage by themselves and finish the two exercises.
