The text is the third unit of the first module (Starter) from New Standard English Book 1 published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. The topic is about how to introduce teachers and friends by using the structures “This is…”, “His/Her name is…”And how to greet each other.
Analysis of the students
The target students are the seventh graders who know how to introduce people but have difficulties in knowing the correct order of introducing. And they are eager to learn more ways to greet people.
Teaching purposes
By the end of the class, the students will be able to
