Greet the students as usual.
Show a photo of the teacher and make a brief self-introduction.
“My name is Miss Teng. I am your teacher. I am 26 years old. Nice to meet you. What’s your name? How old are you?”
And then ask students one by one.
Learn the new words.
Show the pictures of flags and ask student to guess which countries they are.then read the words together.
Ask students to complete the sentences according to the pictures:
I have a friend and her name is Betty. She is from ______ and she is ______.Tony is from _____ and he is ______. Betty and Tony are students. They are in Class 4 Grade Seven.”
Then teacher say “I am China and I am from Chinese.” Ask students “Where are you from? What class are you in?” one by one.
Work in pairs.
Students practice the dialogue like this:
A: What’s your name?
B：My name is …/I’m…
A: Where are you from?
B: I’m from…
