Step 1: lead in
The teacher will start the lesson with greetings and self introduction and show the useful sentence structrue on the PPT.
My name is … I’m … years old. I am from … I am a …
My friend is … What about you?
Ask the students to introduce themselves in groups by using these sentences.
设计意图：通过自我介绍自然导入，由于基本句式学生在小学基本都接触过，所以把基本句式展示给大家，让学生组内做自我介绍，让学生体会我会用英语介绍自己的成就感，调动课堂气氛，使课堂生活化，情景化，同时提高学生学英语的兴趣。
Step2：preparation
1. Ask the students to make a name card by asking these questions.
What's your name? Where are you from?
How old are you? Which class are you in?

设计意图：创设情境，给出任务，展示目标语言，让学生在完成任务的同时学会运用目标语言，同时在这里介绍一下西方的文化：比如不能询问女士和老人的年龄以及询问别人信息时要有礼貌等。

Play the recording in activity 3 and ask the students to listen
and answer the questions. Then check the answers.
