Step1: Lead-in and warm-up:
Enjoy a song called I love my family. The students will enjoy a song and think about what the song is about.
Look at some photos and guess who they are. The teacher will show the students some photos of family members and encourage them to guess who they are. In this way, the teacher will lead in the new vocabulary .
Make a family tree. The students will help the teacher to stick the family photos on the family tree. In this way, they can consolidate the new vocabulary.
Step2: Pre-listening:
Look at a picture and decide what they can see. The students will look at a photo of Tony’s family , and say what they can see in it.
Introduce Tony’s family members to each other. The students will use the key structures This is…/ That is…/ These are…/ Those are…to introduce Tony’s family members .
Step3: While-listening:
Know something about listening tips. The teacher will give the students some advice on listening, so that the students will get ready for the listening practice.
Listen and find. The students will listen to the dialogue between Tony and Daming, and find out the people Tony’s mentions in the dialogue.
